Advanced Training And Coaching is a North Texas based coaching company that offers local athletes a fully customized coaching service with a focus on the athletes needs. Wether its completeting your first century or becoming a Cat 1 road racer, we can tailor a training plan to your specific goals, and give you the personal attention that no one else can. The personal attention you recieve is the difference, any coaching program can make you a better cyclist, but the personal attention you get wit ATAC will allow you to have fun and interact weekly with your coach. At ATAC our coaches are USA Cycling Certified Coaches and have a true desire to help their athletes achieve their goals.

Mountain Bikers

One of the main reasons we started ATAC was that we saw a major need for coaches in the Dallas mountain bike racing scene. Over and over again I was approached by sport level riders wondering how they could improve enough to race expert. If your goal is to get out of the Sport or Beginner class, and especially if you are trying to reach that elite group of racers that seem to dominate your expert class week after week, we can get you there! We have successfully turned sport racers into competitive experts and taken expert racers to the top of their class.

About The Coaches

Jesse Moran has been in the bicycle industry for 10 years and has been racing mountain bikes for 9 of those years. He now races as a Semi-Pro and competes in the Spring TMBRA mountain bike series, and focuses on a wider range of events in the summer and fall months. Jesse was president and team manager of the SFA collegiate cyling team for 3 years, leading the team to two collegiate national MTB qualifications. Running the collegiate team guided him to his true passion, helping athletes achieve their cycling goals. He is now a USA Cycling Certified Coach and has been coaching cyclists for 4 years.

Training Plans

Plan (HR)Basic

The Basic Plan is targeted at an athlete that just wants to be introduced to a coaching program but are hesitant to dive in head first. This program includes fully customized weekly training schedule written in 8 week blocks, delivered every 6 weeks. Key Workouts will be explained in detail. An initial meeting will be scheduled to establish your personal goals for the season and set your training objectives to optimize your training. A lactic threshold test will be performed at the beginning of each cycle to determine heart rate zones and intensity for the coming training period.

Power Plan

The Power Plan is targeted at the athlete that is new to using a power meter and following a coaching program. This program includes a fully customized training schedule, written in 4 week blocks delivered every 3 weeks. This plan allows you to update or change your schedule at any time. An initial meeting will be scheduled to establish your personal goals for the season and set your training objectives to optimize your training. Your power files will be analized at the end of each month. A lactic threshold test will be performed at the beginning of each cycle to determine power zones and intensity for the coming training period.

Premium Power Plan

The Premium Power plan is designed for the athlete who wants it all. This plan includes all of the features and benefits of the Power Plan, plus pre-race and post-race meetings to discuss strategy and results. You will recieve weekly progress reports and unlimited contact with the coach. Power analysis and feedback are also provided on a weekly basis with one on one sessions using the powerful Cycling Peaks analysis software, helping the athlete to better understand the use of a power meter and how to optimize their training time with the use of it.
